Volleyball Recap: Swain County Comes Up Short

Swain County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Hayesville Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Maroon Devils have suffered against the Yellowjackets since October 4, 2022.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-20.

Swain County's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hayesville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Swain County will venture away from home to square off against Rosman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hayesville, they will host Blue Ridge Early College at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
