Baseball Preview: Northeastern Clinton Cougars vs. Beekmantown Eagles
The Northeastern Clinton Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Beekmantown Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
On Monday, Northeastern Clinton didn't have quite enough to beat Plattsburgh and fell 4-3.
Lincoln Perkins was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Perkins was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Jacob is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. William Whalen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Beekmantown and Northern Adirondack, and Beekmantown kept the tradition alive. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 7-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won nine in a row.
