Basketball Recap: Castle View Find Success

Douglas County came into Friday's game looking for another win against Castle View, but Evan Mckean wouldn't allow it. The Castle View Sabercats walked away with a 62-49 win over the Douglas County Huskies on Friday thanks to Mckean, who went 8-for-19 en route to 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Bubba Wyatt, who posted seven points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Douglas County lost, don't look at Roman Saiz. Despite the final result, he earned 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Henry Shoemaker was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Castle View's record is now 9-13. As for Douglas County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Castle View will be playing at home against Rock Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Castle View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season. As for Douglas County, they will venture away from home to challenge ThunderRidge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. ThunderRidge also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 65.7 points per game.
