Volleyball Recap: Salt Lake Academy Beats Dugway for Their Sixth Straight Win

Salt Lake Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Dugway Mustangs 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-11.

Danny Alvarez-Rivadeneira paced Salt Lake Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Alvarez-Rivadeneira got some help from Juan Zuniga and his 12 assists. Zuniga was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Salt Lake Academy pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dugway, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Salt Lake Academy will challenge Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Dugway and Wasatch Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
