It was a good run, but Agua Fria unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Verrado Vipers by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on March 8th.

Jamarcus Hollins paced Agua Fria's offense, picking up ten kills. Hollins got some help from Xavier Matthews and his 16 assists. Matthews also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Raul Hernandez, racking up two apiece.

Agua Fria's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Verrado, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Agua Fria wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Canyon del Oro on the 29th. As for Verrado, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Mountain View on the 29th.
