Khloe Tolle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and nine unearned) runs off ten hits. Tolle was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camarie Perdue, who went 1-for-4 with five runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikki Adams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Scott County Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Oran beat Scott City 13-8 on Wednesday.
Oran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. Scott County Central might still be hurting after the 15-3 defeat they got from Oran in their previous meeting last Wednesday. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
