Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Whitewright Tigers
The Tom Bean Tomcats's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They strolled past Whitewright with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. For Tom Bean, this counts as revenge for the 36-32 loss Whitewright walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Samantha Lind, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Allie Hickman was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Tom Bean's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Whitewright, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10.
Tom Bean will challenge Sam Rayburn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sam Rayburn and Tom Bean are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Whitewright, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Trenton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
