Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Prairie Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Monday.

Brendon Lawson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Logan Josephsen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Prairie, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

While Mountain View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
