Basketball Recap: Bryton Swallows' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clarkrange over Clay County

Clarkrange lost against Clay County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clarkrange Buffaloes fell 64-51 to the Clay County Bulldogs.

Clarkrange lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryton Swallows, who went 8 of 10 en route to 19 points and eight boards. Swallows is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Gunter, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points.

Clarkrange's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Clay County, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarkrange will head out to square off against Pickett County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clay County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Gordonsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
