Navasota is 8-0 against Cleveland since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 10:20 a.m. without much rest having both just played. Navasota will be strutting in after a victory while Cleveland will be coming in after a defeat.

Navasota picked up another tournament win on Friday. They strolled past Hardin with points to spare, taking the game 39-23. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Hornets are ranked 1150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 46th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Lumberton, falling 47-24.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Navasota, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Everything went Navasota's way against Cleveland in their previous meeting on December 5th, as Navasota made off with a 43-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Navasota since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
