Basketball Recap: Fairview Knights vs. Boulder Panthers
The Fairview Knights were the 52-33 winner over the Boulder Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Fairview took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Fairview just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Remy Tolar and Bella Chang certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Tolar dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Chang scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Tolar is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Lila Nuttle was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Fairview struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Fairview dropped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Boulder, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Fairview will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Erie presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Knights in Colorado (the Tigers are ranked 34th, while the Knights are ranked 160th). As for Boulder, they will head out on the road to face off against the Coyotes at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
