Volleyball Recap: Grand Ledge Takes a Loss

Grand Ledge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Hills Central Rangers. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Rangers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Allison Scanlon paced Grand Ledge's offense, picking up 13 kills. Scanlon got some help from Addison Cornman and her 21 assists. Katelyn Breen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Grand Ledge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13-1. As for Forest Hills Central, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Grand Ledge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Portage Central on the 4th. As for Forest Hills Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Marshall on the 4th.
