Savannah had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Pinewood Prep Panthers get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bluejackets sure are getting used to it with their 17th in a row dating back to last season.

Pinewood Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kais Parris, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Slawson, who almost dropped a triple-double with 17 points, nine boards, and nine assists.

Savannah has already played their next contest, an 84-62 victory against Northside on the 15th. As for Pinewood Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-44 win against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics on the 15th.
