Baseball Recap: Breese Central Comes Up Short

Breese Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenville Comets. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Breese Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Greenville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Coming up, Breese Central will take on Columbia at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenville, they will be playing at home against Litchfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
