Cheyenne put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars a 15-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Desert Shields have won by exactly 15 runs.

Adrian Catalan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Caleb Pimentel and Tapa Gamoras did most of the damage at the plate: Pimentel scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Gamoras scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Pimentel has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Cole Steiner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Cheyenne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pinecrest Academy Cadence only posted an OBP of .222.

Cheyenne's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Cheyenne and Pinecrest Academy Cadence will both be playing Canyon Springs the next time they take the field. Cheyenne will host Canyon Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, while Pinecrest Academy Cadence will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
