Littlefield is 8-2 against Friona since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Littlefield Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Friona Chieftans at 6:15 p.m.

Littlefield is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Idalou just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 46-44.

Meanwhile, Friona entered their tilt with Dimmitt on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Bobcats.

Friona has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Littlefield, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10.

Everything went Littlefield's way against Friona in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Littlefield made off with a 63-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Littlefield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
