Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. Altoona Mountain Lions
Central Dauphin is 5-0 against Altoona since October of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Central Dauphin Rams will be playing at home against the Altoona Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Central Dauphin is not getting complacent, as they come into the match much higher ranked than Altoona in Pennsylvania (Central Dauphin is ranked 47th, while Altoona is ranked 141st).
Central Dauphin's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Cumberland Valley 19-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Dauphin in their matchups with Cumberland Valley: they've now lost three in a row.
Although Central Dauphin took the loss, they still got scores from Kyle Mccullough and Mason Wydra.
Even if they lost, Central Dauphin's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Jett Franz and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Altoona's three-game losing streak came to an end two Fridays ago. They enjoyed a cozy 25-7 victory over Chambersburg.
Bron Mosley went supernova for Altoona, rushing for 267 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Mosley's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Central Dauphin's victory pushed their record up to 4-3, while Altoona's loss dropped theirs down to 3-4.
Central Dauphin took their win against Altoona when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 34-14. Does Central Dauphin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Altoona turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
