Recap: Godwin Eagles vs. Glen Allen Jaguars
After a string of three wins, the Godwin Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Glen Allen by a score of 50-48. Godwin has struggled against Glen Allen recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Reagan Nemeyer and Lakelyn Bostian certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Nemeyer scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds, while Bostian scored 14 points. Nemeyer scored a full 33.3% of Godwin's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Bella Ross was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 12 rebounds.
Godwin's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Glen Allen, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Godwin will challenge Mechanicsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mechanicsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Godwin likes a good challenge. Glen Allen will be home for the holidays to greet Hermitage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
