Basketball Recap: Manistique Comes Up Short

If Manistique was feeling good fresh off their 54-12 takedown of Engadine last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Manistique Emeralds were beaten by the Gladstone Braves 55-20 on Friday. The contest marked the Emeralds' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Manistique's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gladstone, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Manistique will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Munising at 7:30 p.m. Munising will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Manistique surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gladstone, they are taking a road trip to face off against Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
