The Milford Tigers will face off against the Monticello Buckaroo at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Milford has four straight victories, Monticello has 20 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Milford will bounce into Friday's game after beating Delta, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Milford put the hurt on Delta with a sharp 19-8 win on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaidyn McMullin made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. McMullin was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two triples, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Paizlee Florence was incredible, scoring six runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Those six runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Griffiths, who went 4-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Milford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Monticello fell victim to Milford and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 23-0.
Milford pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything went Milford's way against Monticello in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as Milford made off with a 23-0 victory. Does Milford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Monticello turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
