Basketball Recap: Assumption Piles Up the Points Against Bourgeois

Assumption can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 60-29 stomp they got against the Bourgeois Braves. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Braves are ranked 111th).

Assumption's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Bourgeois, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Assumption will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Donaldsonville at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Bourgeois, they will take on Madison Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
