After a string of five wins, Lamar's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Bellaire Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Lamar started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.

Bellaire was led to victory by Allison Barker and Elizabeth Haas. Barker had 15 assists and four aces, while Haas had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Haas has posted since back in September. Grace Warner was another key player, getting four digs and four aces.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Bellaire, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-13.

Looking ahead, Lamar will square off against Houston Math Science & Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellaire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
