After two games on the road, Rochester is heading back home. They will take on the Manchester Squires at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rochester has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Rochester scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Logansport, posting a 52-24 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Rochester has posted since November 29, 2023.
Rochester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylee Clevenger led the charge by scoring 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Field, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Manchester came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged Wabash out 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manchester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brookelynn Buzzard, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Buzzard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadley West, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Rochester now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Manchester, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
Everything went Rochester's way against Manchester in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Rochester made off with a 45-25 win. With Rochester ahead 34-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
