Basketball Game Preview: Lindblom Eagles vs. Phillips Wildcats

The Lindblom Eagles will face off against the Phillips Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Lindblom took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Westinghouse, sneaking past 58-55. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for William Occomy, who went 6 for 15 en route to 21 points and six steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Omari Kamal, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Phillips can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-56 victory over Taft.

The win got Phillips back to even at 12-12. As for Lindblom, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14.
