Softball Recap: Ferguson Takes a Loss

Ferguson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Braddock, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly two runs.

Ferguson got a massive performance out of Idalys Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI. Bianca Lugaro was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

This is the second loss in a row for Ferguson and nudges their season record down to 9-9. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Braddock, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Ferguson has already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Southwest on the 17th. As for Braddock, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-5 win against Coral Park on the 17th.
