Basketball Recap: Maya Shotwell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dekaney over Macarthur

Dekaney was the 33-26 winner over MacArthur when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Dekaney Wildcats took a 29-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the MacArthur Generals. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dekaney's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maya Shotwell, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Scranton, who earned seven points.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for MacArthur, their record now sits at 8-23.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dekaney Wildcats take on the Nimitz Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nimitz is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season. As for MacArthur, they will head out to square off against Benjamin Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
