Soccer Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport lost against Sanborn Regional back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers lost 6-1 to the Indians. That's two games in a row now that Newport have lost by exactly five goals.

Newport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sanborn Regional, with the win, they broke their seven-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newport is set to take on their familiar foe Hinsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sanborn Regional will face off against rival St. Thomas Aquinas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
