Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monrovia). They strolled past Purdue Poly Englewood with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 76-57.

Leading Monrovia to victory were Zoie Walls and Emery Newlin. Walls went 11 for 15 on her way to 26 points in addition to seven steals and six boards, while Newlin almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Tallent, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Monrovia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Monrovia's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Purdue Poly Englewood, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Monrovia will square off against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Purdue Poly Englewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
