Basketball Recap: Eli Barncastle's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Goddard over Los Alamos

Goddard lost against Los Alamos back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goddard Rockets fell 49-37 to the Los Alamos Hilltoppers. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Goddard lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eli Barncastle, who posted nine points. Isaiah Mestas was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Los Alamos, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11.

Goddard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-55 defeat against Taos on the 11th. Los Alamos has also already played their next game, a 77-57 loss against Artesia on the 11th.
