Soccer Game Preview: Lompoc vs. Cabrillo

The Lompoc Braves will head out to face off against the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lompoc is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Nipomo on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, Lompoc can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 938th, while Nipomo are ranked 264th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cabrillo, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2025. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Orcutt Academy on Wednesday. Cabrillo haven't had any issues with Orcutt Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 3-11-1. As for Lompoc, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
