Baseball Recap: Chatham Central Comes Up Short

Chatham Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Orange Panthers, falling 11-1.

Chatham Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Phillips, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Chatham Central's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Orange, their record is now 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham Central will take on Northern Nash at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Orange, they will challenge Southern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
