Soccer Recap: Poplar Bluff Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Poplar Bluff proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders, sneaking past 2-1. While Poplar Bluff didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Poplar Bluff's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five games. As for Saxony Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Poplar Bluff will be playing in front of their home fans against Fredericktown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saxony Lutheran, they will head out to challenge St. Vincent at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
