The Ridley Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Interboro Buccaneers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Ridley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While Ridley's win against Conestoga wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Ridley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Conestoga on Thursday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Luke Ladislaw made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ladislaw was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Bobby Doherty was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Logan Bubb also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Ridley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conestoga only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Interboro came up short against Chichester on Thursday and fell 8-3.
Interboro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Dean, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Ridley's record now sits at 3-1. As for Interboro, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Interboro struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ridley beat Interboro 8-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Will Ridley repeat their success, or does Interboro has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
