Softball Recap: Beckman Takes a Loss

Beckman was the 11-6 winner over Charles City when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Trailblazers came up short against the Comets on Saturday, falling 14-3. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Beckman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Charles City, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beckman will host Vinton-Shellsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charles City, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Crestwood at 5:30 p.m. The Cadets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
