Baseball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Edgewood can now relate to. They fell just short of the New Diana Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 26-13. As for New Diana, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-1 record this season.

While Edgewood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
