Basketball Game Preview: Green Tech Eagles vs. Catskill Cats

The Green Tech Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Catskill Cats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Monday, Green Tech humbled Proctor with a 71-39 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Raiders are ranked 297th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Catskill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Coxsackie-Athens with a sharp 68-47 victory on Monday. The Cats haven't had any issues with the Riverhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Green Tech's record now sits at 14-2. As for Catskill, their record is now 13-4.

Green Tech couldn't quite get it done against Catskill in their previous meeting back in December of 2025 as they fell 65-53. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
