Dreandre Bruton Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Piedmont got the W thanks in part to DreAndre Bruton playing the best football he has all season. Bruton rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

The victory was the third in a row for Piedmont, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Bruton and Piedmont will face off against Southmoore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Stillwater was sadly handed a loss on Thursday, but Mason Schubert did his best to prevent it. Schubert turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 302 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Stillwater moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Schubert will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Putnam City on Friday.

Ladarren Shoels Turns in Season-Best Effort

Putnam City was led to victory by LaDarren Shoels, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Shoels rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
