Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Frankston Indians by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 2, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Mount Vernon and nudges their season record down to 20-8. As for Frankston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
