Volleyball Recap: Landry Tubb's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Longview over North Forney

Longview lost against North Forney back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lobos fell 3-1 to the Falcons. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Longview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-22.

Longview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Landry Tubb, who had 26 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Orban, who had 23 assists and eight digs.

Longview's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for North Forney, their victory bumped their record up to 21-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Longview will take on Tyler Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Forney, they will square off against Wylie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
