Volleyball Recap: Blanco Takes a Loss

Blanco was the 3-0 winner over Marble Falls when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Mustangs on Saturday.

While Blanco ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.

Gretschen Grosch paced Blanco's offense, picking up ten kills. Grosch got some help from Landry Meyer and her 18 assists. Finally, Payton Craft kept Blanco's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Blanco dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Marble Falls, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Blanco has already played their next matchup (against Copperas Cove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marble Falls, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Brenham on the 23rd.
