The Master's Academy entered their tilt with Bethel Christian Academy on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 12-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Matthew Herring made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, The Master's Academy got a massive performance out of Luke Pate, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Pate a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Waugh, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The Master's Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.

The Master's Academy pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Master's Academy will challenge IC Imagine at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will square off against Mitchell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
