Basketball Recap: Collin Knox Key Part of a Team Effort in Spartans Win

Moberly hadn't done well against Fulton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Moberly Spartans blew past the Fulton Hornets 64-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted since December 10, 2024.

Moberly got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Collin Knox out in front who went 7 for 11 on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Knox's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Doubrava, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Moberly was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Moberly's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fulton, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Moberly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-47 defeat against Chillicothe on the 23rd. As for Fulton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 87-61 loss against Southern Boone on the 23rd.
