Recap: Utopia Buffaloes vs. Rocksprings Angoras
The Utopia Buffaloes suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Rocksprings 77-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Utopia has suffered against Rocksprings since February 9, 2021.
Jayden Hernandez was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 3 assists for Rocksprings. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hernandez has scored at least a third of Rocksprings' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Hendley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Utopia's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12-1. As for Rocksprings, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
Utopia will head out on the road to take on D'Hanis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocksprings, they will be playing at home against Nueces Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nueces Canyon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1699th, while Rocksprings is ranked 649th).
