After a string of three wins, Lakeview Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a blow against the Malibu Sharks, falling 83-38.

It was another big night for Dylan Goosen, who went 18 of 34 en route to 49 points along with seven assists and five rebounds for Malibu. Goosen's afternoon made it 30 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Tommy Cupp was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Lakeview Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Malibu, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lakeview Charter Lions challenge the Triumph Charter Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Malibu, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nordhoff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Malibu's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
