Baseball Recap: Jersey Shore Starts Season with Win on the Road

Jersey Shore had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Danville Ironmen by a score of 14-10. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ironmen, too.

The team relied heavily on Collin Berguson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mazden Lupton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Jersey Shore will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Danville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Loyalsock Township at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
