Softball Recap: Evans Trojans vs. Ocoee Knights
Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 16-1 defeat at the hands of the Ocoee Knights. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Evans couldn't push the score so high this time.
Evans saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ajai Woodson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
On Ocoee's side, Sarrah Trocki made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned run or hits (and only one walk). Trocki has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Trocki was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
