Softball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

Winfield lost against Mulvane on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-6. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooklynn Mortimer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Addison Samms also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Winfield now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mulvane, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Winfield nor Mulvane have any future games scheduled.
