Football Recap: AGWSR Comes Up Short

AGWSR was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the West Hancock Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Eagles are ranked 24th).

AGWSR's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Hancock, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. AGWSR is set to face off against their familiar foe Belmond-Klemme at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Hancock will square off against rival Newman Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
