Softball Recap: Frostproof Comes Up Short

Frostproof fell victim to Hardee and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Hardee Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Frostproof saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Menzie Neal, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Neal's first of the season.

Frostproof's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hardee, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.

Frostproof didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-7 defeat against Moore Haven on the 10th. After both having extra time off, Hardee and DeSoto County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st. DeSoto County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
