Baseball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Lawton-Bronson Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 back in May.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lawton-Bronson, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-13.

Looking ahead, Westwood will face off against Missouri Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawton-Bronson, they have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 win against Treynor on the 28th.
